BAD

Bad emerged out of drama workshops, which had been held at Edinburgh’s Polmont Young Offenders institution over the course of two years. A special parole was obtained for the young men to appear at the Edinburgh Festival, under guard.Involving seven (ex)-inmates, three prison officers, the prison psychiatrist, a drama student, one professional actor and five experienced support actors, Bad  took a closer look at the experiences and motivations of young criminals as well as exploring perceptions of ‘badness’ within their social contexts.
